Our new children's book is based on a true story. While I was out painting one morning, a weasel jumped onto my easel - REALLY! A children's book in the making, right?

I knew my daughter (the budding young artist above) would be a great collaborator, as she is particularly good at illustrating characters. She is now a young adult and had some available time before starting graduate school for architecture. I jumped at the opportunity and asked her to work on the weasel. Then I created all the colored pages, with all the watercolor landscapes, backgrounds and the rhyming verse of the story. Veering into some fun children's fantasy to finish it up and slipping in a little art education too. There's a Weasel on my Easel! was born...
