December 1 - 31, 2025 at the NCRD Gallery in Nehalem, Oregon

A solo show in a rather large space needs a lot of art work to fill the walls. So I have not been bored!
The majority of the show is comprised of plein air pieces - painted outside on location - plus a few large studio pieces to keep things interesting. I consciously included a variety of work for your viewing pleasure. :-)

Behind the scenes, there's a lot of additional steps that go into an exhibition. My first step in deciding what will be included is always to lay it out on graph paper to scale. I try a variety of options until I find the one with the most visual appeal and interesting stories to tell.
After I decide which pieces will be included, general signage and individual tags need written up and printed. When all art is dry, which can take some time with oil paintings, all art work gets a nice fresh coat of temporary varnish to spruce them up for their debut. Next, lots and lots of framing!

Then, when all is dry, it's time to pack it up to transport to the venue to hang it all....

And voila, it's a Show!

I hope you can make it to the NCRD Gallery to see it all in person. If not, I have a jazzy new website that will give you a nice preview of what you're missing. Check out the Events page here, as the next best thing to being there.
I won't show you everything in the Show on my website, as seeing Art in person is definitely the way to go! Enjoy the Show...
